Sometimes the hardest decisions are not about leaving something that has gone wrong.

They are about leaving something that you have done right.

You have invested years of hard work, effort, discipline, sacrifice, and dedication into creating something that works. You have built relationships, earned trust, established yourself, and created a place where you are comfortable.

So why would you leave?

Because sometimes what you have built is no longer where you need to be and that can be incredibly difficult to accept.

There is a strange emotional attachment to something you worked so hard to create. Walking away can feel like you are abandoning everything you worked for, but perhaps you aren't walking away from it.

Perhaps you are taking everything it taught you with you.

The next step may be uncertain. It may require change, courage, and starting again in ways you never expected, but uncertainty does not always mean you are making the wrong decision.

Sometimes, deep down, you already know.

The difficult part isn't knowing it's time to leave, the difficult part is giving yourself permission to go.

Thought-provoking reflections on life, identity and relationships, written in the style of a modern-day Socratic journal and told through poetic paradoxes and emotional honesty.
