Sometimes, life fines you for doing the right thing. You pause, you breathe, you choose the gentle route and somehow, you’re still in trouble. A speeding ticket… for going slow. You let someone merge in traffic, and they flip you off anyway. You take your time to write the kind reply and get ghosted. You tread carefully and are called weak. You choose patience, and they label you passive.

Funny how kindness feels like rebellion in a world addicted to fast, loud, sharp. How slowing down becomes a threat to systems built on urgency and ego, but here’s the truth: you’re not being punished by the universe, you’re just being misunderstood by a momentum that doesn’t know how to stop.

Still, keep pausing, keep loving, keep choosing slow in a world that rushes to nowhere, because peace isn’t in the fast lane, it’s in the knowing that you didn’t trade your soul for speed.

Thought-provoking reflections on life, identity and relationships, written in the style of a modern-day Socratic journal and told through poetic paradoxes and emotional honesty.
