Sometimes, life doesn’t gently nudge, it slams you into a wall. A job, a relationship, a habit, a belief system, you follow it faithfully, only to arrive at a dead end. And the signs? They were there. You just didn’t want to read them. A “dead end” isn’t failure, it’s feedback. It’s life’s most honest way of saying: “This path no longer serves you.” The crash, the halt, the moment of stillness, it’s not punishment. It’s pause. An invitation to reassess. A U-turn, on the other hand, requires courage.

Not just to admit you were wrong, but to pivot while carrying the weight of all that misdirection. Pride will whisper, “Keep going, maybe something will change.” But wisdom? It pulls the wheel and says, “Turn around.” Correcting a mess starts with ownership. No deflecting. No blaming. Just the raw truth: “I went the wrong way.” From that moment, a new direction becomes available, not free of effort, but free of delusion. And here’s the quiet gift of a U-turn: It’s not a return to where you started. You’re coming back with knowledge, scars, and humility.

That makes it progress, not regression. A dead end doesn’t mean your story ends. It just means this chapter does. The U-turn is the next page.

Thought-provoking reflections on life, identity and relationships, written in the style of a modern-day Socratic journal and told through poetic paradoxes and emotional honesty.
