In a world where speed is currency and hustle is glorified, many of us find ourselves constantly chasing our own feet, running to meet expectations we set without mercy. It's not that the world asks too much of us. It's that we ask too much of ourselves. We race ahead, setting goals and ambitions as mile markers, only to move the finish line once we get close.

We say, “Just a little more,” convincing ourselves that rest comes later, peace comes after, love comes someday, but someday never checks the calendar.

In chasing our feet, we forget that they are already under us, carrying us with quiet loyalty. Maybe the goal isn’t to outrun who we are, but to pause and walk beside ourselves, to acknowledge the weight we carry and appreciate the distance we’ve already come. It’s not laziness to rest. It’s not failure to slow down. Sometimes, we only find clarity in the stillness, when the dust of self-imposed pressure finally settles.

So, stop the chase. You’re already here. You’re already enough.

Thought-provoking reflections on life, identity and relationships, written in the style of a modern-day Socratic journal and told through poetic paradoxes and emotional honesty.
